Skye remains one of the truly unspoiled areas of Europe where rare Scottish wildlife can be seen in its natural habitat – otters, seals, pine martens and deer. Golden eagles are to be seen soaring over high ground, waders and oyster catchers paddle on the shores; the crofts are busy with warblers, stonechats, meadow pipits & the elusive corncrake.

Look out over the sea in summer months and watch whales and dolphins as well as the diving sea birds. There are a variety of guided walks, tours & trips around the island to take advantage of, some may require a bit of planning so please ask us for assistance when booking. Look closely underfoot, and on the slopes to discover alpines, wild orchids and many more interesting plants & fungi.
