Waternish or Bhatairnis in Gaelic is in the far North West of the Isle of Skye. It offers so
much for the visitor to do. A breathtaking walk to Waternish Point with fabulous views of the Western Isles,
with a couple of pre-historic brochs or Duns on the way; or a shorter walk to Sguirr Bay (Loch Losait) with
views to Uig and the Trotternish Ridge. Our property is also located close to many famous locations such as
Neist Point Lighthouse, The Old Man of Storr, The Fairy Glen and The Quiraing. This page contains a few

Kilt Rock Waterfall is located to the North East of the Isle of Skye and features a
stunning waterfall with a viewpoint that looks out towards the Sound of Raasay.
Once a local primary school, then a Free Presbyterian mission, the Auld Mission
Cottage stands in an elevated position with spectacular views of Loch Bay and over the Minch to
the Outer Isles. Recently renovated but with much of its original stonework maintained, the Auld
Mission Cottage has been modernised to a high standard and comfortably furnished. The
accommodation is all on one level and comprises of two Bedrooms (one Double and one Twin),
Bathroom with Electric Shower, Open Plan Kitchen and Lounge/Diner with a multi-fuel stove. A small
seating area and picnic table at the front of the cottage provides an opportunity to enjoy the
wonderful sunsets.
